congrats Brent on reaching 700 hrs.
I have seen your plane and having been to your shop I am not surprised
about the performance and longevity of your plane. I can attest to the
fun of flying it even at the lowly 15 hr mark.
I guess I asked the wrong question when I submitted the info regarding
electrical discharge. One answer suggested making the IV-P a VFR clear
of clouds airplane and the second one hinted about dreaming ...
the plane is not pressurized yet due to so many squawks and not even
interior panels are in. Any smoke or fuel in the winglets gets  thru the
leading edge of the wing (early in the construction an aluminum tube was
placed at the front and a false spar of prepreg glassed to seal the
leading edge for electrical conduit purposes and to seal any fuel leaks
that builders were reporting then) so it goes thru the root into the
cabin, I guess since the smell was pervasive in the cabin.
I guess I wont be flying into dark clouds anymore...
