I hope this doesn't start a heated debate; it's just an observation. Take
it for what it's worth.
I know of at least one Legacy that uses a single com antenna driven by the
radios through a duplexer. (Not a diplexer, they are quite different.) The
com antenna is mounted in the molded recess on the belly. The only special
consideration was using star washers between the mounting plate of the
antenna and the bare carbon fiber of the skin. I've flown in the plane, and
listened to it on my handheld. The radios work great.

Got this idea from someone else on the LML.
Alan,
I am no expert, but all I've read says that ground planes don't work
inside
carbon fiber bodies--it needs to be on the outside of the carbon to be
effective. Other comments/thoughts?
