Bill,
LID/TET/EPI is lidocaine/tetracaine/epinephrine mix. It is a topical local anesthetic. It probably costs the hospital about $20 max. The price for any item is completely unrelated to its cost. I am a doctor, and I have no clue how the hospital figures out how much to charge.

the bill did include a CT scan for $ 1247.
[ wow,. most of our clients bill out at ~$600 per,
unless some contrast agent is used or other strange (onco) setup... time on the table
is key, and we spend alot of time to insure
