I put the test pilot's name (Mike Dehate in my case) on the insurance policy
with Avemco.  The Avemco rep. was accustomed to doing this and, in fact, had a
dossier on Mike already on file.  I did not specifically ask what would happen
in the event of an accident nor am I clear (yet) what money is paid out in the
event of an accident where the passenger is killed (does it pay the full face
amount of the policy to dependents? or a lesser amount).  A few questions put to
the insurance company is a good idea but the good is that the test pilot
situation seems to be customary.
