On the subject of Carbon Monoxide in the cockpit of your LNC2; I think that
all LNC2's have a similar problem unless rubber boots have been installed
around the flap, aileron and inboard gear door push rods. The problem is
particularly bad on the ground when the gear doors are open and the air
vents are closed. I measured CO levels in excess of 300 ppm.
I fixed the problem by installing 6 rubber boots around the push rods. You
can buy the boots from Lancair. I think I paid about $6 each for them.
They are not quite the right size and they are just a smooth boot so they
don't look very attractive in the rumpled up position but they are
effective.
