The problem is particularly bad on the ground when the gear doors are open and the air vents are closed. I measured CO levels in excess of 300 ppm. I fixed the problem by installing 6 rubber boots around the push rods. You can buy the boots from Lancair. I think I paid about $6 each for them. They are not quite the right size and they are just a smooth boot so they don't look very attractive in the rumpled up position but they are effective.
