Matt,

I don't have a lead for you, but will tell you I've compared Bose with a
couple of competitors and felt that other brands will save big bucks without
quality sacrifice.  I ended up with Lightspeed 25XL's - four of them for the
IVP at an average cost of less than $550 per pair.  The best deal I got was
at Arlington airshow from AC Spruce - two pair for $515 each.  The others
were about $565 from AC Spruce mailorder when they had a mild special
discount.  Marv and others have spoken of headsets they compared favorably
with Bose and were even less money than the  Lightspeeds.  Since the Bose
are almost $1,000 per copy, the total outlay is almost twice what you'd pay
for a high quality competitor and even more than some of the medium priced
competition.  Also, it looks like the price for ANR technology is starting
to drop.

I'd suggest doing a search of the LML postings to find earlier discussions
of the subject.  Can't recall if you're doing 2 seats or four, but the cost
can have a serious impact if you need four sets.

Regards,

John Barrett
