Tygon tubing is formulated with phthalate plasticizers that are leached out
of the tubing over time by organic solvents of many different sorts,
including components of gasoline and avgas.  Before too long, any piece of
Tygon tubing in contact with avgas will become brittle and subject to
failure, so it should never be used in a fuel system.

The glass sight tube is probably a good idea  --  short sections of
thick-walled Pyrex are really very strong, provided they're annealed
properly, and will stay clear for a few millenia.
