I agree that the fuel sight lines from the wing tanks do serve a very useful
purpose in showing bubbles when the tanks run dry. I was not sure which type
of tubing to use so I ordered two kinds from Spruce.
My first preference was to use the crystal clear line, which I think was
Tygon, but am not 100% sure. Anyway I put a short piece in a jar of aviation
fuel for a day or so to check it out. When I took it out it was really hard
and brittle (really glad I checked it).
I ended up using the Bing alcohol resistant fuel line which is blue in color
and looks good with my gray panel. It still shows the bubbles and the header
tank level well.
