Roger,
Dave Buckwalter of Avionics Systems built my 360 panel and like Clark
Baker I couldn't be more pleased with his work. He is flexible, very
knowledgeable and respected among his peers. He also has a pretty good
sense of humor when he discovers you are trying to get some of the trade
secrets out of him about how to crimp or solder something you've never ever
seen the insides of before. He laughed real hard at some of my work. I
think the first 360 panel he built was about 7 years ago, don't know how
many he has done to date. He has also fabricated quite a few IV panels.
His delivery is on time, although all panel shops run into delays when you
want the newest avioncis and they are not yet being shipped. Dave has been
established long enough to get on the first-to-get-list. He used to run an
avionics repair shop at Leesburg, I think it was or was associated with the
Beech dealership there. His prices are competitive. His post installation
support is also excellent.
If you are in the Virginia area I would be happy to fly over and let you
take a look (always looking for another reason to fly somewhere important).
