Well I have Bose X and I can say a IV-P is seriously more noisy than my old TR182 even with the Bose headsets. Besides, I've always wondered if your body "knows" it's being blasted by all that vibration even if your ears don't. I've also wondered if your ears don't really like it. Even though you don't perceive a loud noise, the technology involves a slight phase shift between the original sound wave and the canceling sound wave, which probably yields a lot of very high frequency artifacts. However I notice that most of this discussion took place some years ago. So my question for the list, is what are builders using nowdays to reduce cockpit noise?
