Folks,
I view crosswind landings more a subject of judgment than skill.
We don't know the exact wind we're dealing with anyway due to variability.
That nasty gust at  critical moment changes everything.
I've done a few landings bobbing like a cork in the ocean and hoping to find a smooth enough couple seconds to plant it on the runway without breaking something and before running out of stopping distance.  Doesn't mater what the tower said the winds were.
Practicing this makes me think of practicing crash landings.
As the winds get stronger and the risks greater, use your superior judgment to use a runway better aligned, even if you have to divert.
