A little bit ago the subject of propeller choice was brought up and it seemed like three types came to the top: The Hartzell, MT, and the Aerocomposites. Someone mention that the Aerocomposites prop has a reputation for being "slow." I have an Aerocomposites prop on my Lycoming-powered ES and am perfectly satisfied. It think I get equivalent performance to everyone else and I'm down probably 10 to 20 hp. Is it better than any other? I have no idea, but I know it's lighter than the Hartzell aluminum prop. I just didn't want to let the "slower" comment go unanswered. Thanks for listening, er, reading :-)
