Well with 4 trips under by belt, I can tell you that I'm liking my iPad in the cockpit. The Foreflight app is pretty nice, I'm not crazy about the lack of Canadian info [where I'm based] but the US data is excellent. If they ever got the Canadian approaches and charts in there, it'd be all a person needs.
Between this and my FliteDeck software I think I have almost all my bases covered [re: electronic charts]. Being able to grab my iPad and run into the FBO and file previously set up flight plans, get a decent brief and be back in the plane PDQ is very nice.
I think we'll be upgrading to a 3G iPad however [wish I'd done that from the start].
