Great post. Working for the airlines, we have to visually inspect the p-seals on a more
recurrent basis than annually. There might have been a slight chafe or beginning tear from ingress/egress that was
not caught on a typical preflight. Brings back memories of the (late)Payne Stewart and the baggage strap missed on a
rushed and late load. My wife and I have had heated discussions on the possible cockpit environment on JFK jr's last
flight (30 minutes prior to departure and 10 minutes prior to termination). Wonderful job getting down
and correctly evaluating. John
