Hi Rob,

 [ cut -Rob ]

Anyway, enough excuses for not keeping in touch with our good friends.
If you could take a moment, I would appreciate it if you would put out a
message on the Lancair network to see if anyone has a spare “down”
sensor/switch for the new style hydraulic pump on the Legacy. I am not
sure if the old style pump and the new style pump have similar and/or
“like” switches. When I landed in Springfield, MO last week, the gear
wouldn’t go down, and I suspect that the low pressure switch has
malfunctioned. Lancair tells me that both the high and low switches are
back ordered until at least mid May, and I wonder if anyone has a spare
one that they would part with, good used condition or new……………I will
take what I can get to get me back in the air, and will make any kind of
deal necessary, purchase or replace with a new switch when the back
order at Lancair is filled.

To save you time in fielding replies (hopefully we will get several
hundred replies from nice folks who have a spare………..<grin>), please
place my email address in the body of the message and have any possible
replies get to me directly at showme@lvbw.net <mailto:showme@lvbw.net>.

 Many thanks, Rob,

Ron Brice

[ if the pump started when you cracked the dump valve then its
more likely a high to low hyd leak, if the gear fell down without
the pump, they the switch is a good bet. -Rob ]
