...which raises the question of whether replacing the turn coordinator with
a second AI deprives the pilot of the only reliable information source in
this particular emergency situation. Optimally, this is a region of flight
best not explored while in IMC, however as Don pointed out, a hardware
failure and a moment's inattention and there you are....
