Well that brings me to my next thought. If the accumulator does not work out
because you only get one shot. How about a back-up electric oil pump. I was
thinking this would be better for the engine, in that you could start the
electric oil pump before the engine to get oil to all the moving parts before
you turn over the engine. Then once the engine oil pump is producing pressure
the electric pump can be turned off. So if you had an engine driven oil pump
failure, you could use the electric oil pump. You could even wire it to a
pressure switch to com on automatically if there is a loss in oil pressure.
