On 27 April 2006 at 1900 hrs the FAA formally recognized the birth of the
world's first 4-place pressurized fixed gear aircraft, a Lancair ES-P.
Gestation was lengthy and involved more than 15 months in labor (ouch!). The
new addition to the family of aircraft weighs in at a sleek 2260. N301ES
cries with a healthy 400 hp and is expected to crawl within 2 days and take
flight late in the week.
