    If you want to be noticed by your friends and neighbors while you fly around the neighborhood, do what I did. Install an automotive air-horn in your wheel-well, then when you fly around, lower the gear and blow the horn. Even at 1000' AGL they can hear you. My UPS guy noticed me that way. I use it to let my daughter, who lives near French Valley, know I've arrived and to come pick me up. It really helps, too, when you are at a fly-in with lots of people milling 'round. I even have "Sound Horn" on my start check-list along with saying "Clear". It's nice, too, when you are taxi-ing, to use it to say "Hi" to your friends around the hangars!
