it cost including hotel/motels?
My 1000 lb (cycle and pilot) "cruiser" is not very
aerodynamic with its' enormous windshield, no fairings, etc. However,
it gets 35 mpg at 75 mph. I look to fill up its' wee tank (4.5
gals) about every 120 miles.
Heck, my Corvette gets 30 mpg in 6th
gear!
Hey!, Mine only gets 28 mpg where most driving is at 75 mph. Of
course that's 8 cyls loafing at 1600 rpm in 6th and don't dare try to stomp on
it unless she is down shifted.
Remember that the 'vette consumes hi-test whilst the MC is quite
efficient using regular - at $.20/gal difference. BTW, the 'vette uses 5
O2 sensors to ensure that besides delivering all the power necessary, catalytic
converters and other power robbing EPA mandated controls are operating.
The Lancair is still the cheapest way to go - My 320 gets about 25 mpg and
the GPS shows the last 8000 miles (as the crow flies) averaged 195 mph
(statute miles).
