I used break-in oil for the first 25 or was it 50 hours in my Turobed
O540 Lycoming.  I had no problems with it from the time I started it to
check for leaks and pre oil it.  Flew it a little over an hour for the
first test flight.  Temps dropped after a few minutes into the flight. I added a JPI EDM800 while I was doing the engine. Still running strong
with 90 hrs. on it.  Just cleaned and regapped the plugs.  They looked
good.  Will do compression checks Tuesday.  Still having high CHT on #5
though.  It seems all Lyc. O540s I have seen on Cessna TR182s have that
problem.  Haven't talked to the guys with O540s and no turbo.  I built a
scoop above #5 and it helped but I am going to redo it and make it
larger during this annual.
