After 5 years & 8600
hours my LNC4 is ready to go – but – having problems with a rough
engine on low rpms. It’s a turbocharged TSIOE1B
and after some investigations we found oil leaking from both turbos into the airintake. Engine
does not like too much oil and it was easy to hear its protests. Some experts
say it’s normal with some oil leaking from the lubrication of the turbos in the beginning when using break in oil. After some
hours when everything gets tighter and when switching to normal oil it will
disappear. Other experts says this is bad and could
not be accepted. Possible reason can be blocked evacuation on the return oil
pipe from turbo back to oilsump or too much counterpressure in the oilsump.
