Bob: Your manifold idea for the pressure/static system is a great idea. Would have saved a lot of work, back when.
However, I would caution against using too many electrical connectors. Electrical problems never seem to be in the wiring (assuming that the circuit is sized correctly). The problems always seems to be in the wire termination. Every additional connector adds just that much more potential for electrical problems. I think "KISS" says it all.
