I recently picked up my rebuilt engine from Performance Engines http://www.performanceengines.com/

When I drove to the shop to pick up my engine, Ron, the owner, gave me a shop tour and I and was really impressed with the sophisticated machinery they use to balance all the moving parts and to flow balance the intakes.  Their attention to detail is amazing, including a clean room with filtered air for the final assembly process.  

 

I picked forged pistons with a compression ratio of 8.7:1, close to stock 8.5:1, and one magneto and one electronic ignition.  They offer a variety of compression ratios and ignition options.  They ran-in my engine for 3.5 hours on the test stand to get the first of the break-in hours completed.  I worked with Stuart Featherstone, salesman and Legacy builder (and soon to be Legacy flyer), and recommend Stuart and Performance Engines.  I can't wait to get this baby installed and flying!
