Subject: Re: [LML] fuel flow transducer

I have my flow transducer in the left footwell up against the nose gear tunnel and just forward of the main spar. I have no header tank and my electic boost pump is under my seat with its suction strainer so the position is a natural.  I have a maximum of 12" of straight run from the pump to the transducer and possibly 18" after the transducer before it goes through the firewall and into the gascolator.

Why would you put the tranducer in a hot area and also have to run longer wiring to get to the instrument readout.?  I presume this is not a Continental engine with flow back to the fuel tanks.

I also recorded accuracies of ~1%, certainly within the possible accuracy of filling the tanks up as far as possible.
