 Hello Gene

My article on aircraft acoustics was finally published in this month's Sport
Aviation.  I did the acoustic treatment for Dave Morss and his Legacy.  I was
able to get almost 8 dB out of the plane.  Since then I have been putting
together a group of materials and kits for the individual areas that need
treatment since the one thing I noticed from all of the ads on acoustics is
that they were not very clear and they tended to treat everything, everywhere
the same.  I have worked on a lot of large aircraft since I design interior
parts for the Big Iron and I decided to do something about small planes, thus
the testing and kitting of light aircraft materials.

I have broken these kits into 7 areas, (firewall backside, sidewalls, floor,
glare shield, damping, High wing barriers and trim covering).  Within those,
there are 3 different categories (light weight mostly thermal, medium weight
good acoustics, great thermal and great acoustics, great thermal).  If you get
Sport Aviation, read the article and give me a call at work at (510) 476-2150.
If you don't I can get you a copy of the article or we will attach it to our
website.

And you are right, the more you get into it, the more questions you have!
