It took quite a while, but I now have my upgraded Crossbow AHRS (new firmware, new gyro, etc.). This was a free upgrade from Crossbow.

Kirk and Josh dropped by today and did the calibration. Voila! I now have a PFD (Primary Flight Display). Very cool. 3D terrain! Acceleration vectors. Highway in the sky! And so on.

My Chelton Sierra Flight System is now sporting the latest, greatest software, Version 5.0B. I'm probably the first customer with this version as it was just released this morning.

I'm told that it has all kinds of new, neat features, including support for the upgraded screens (with more memory and a faster processor).
