Here are some suggestions:

1.  Temperfoam for the front seats> (Remember to adjust for seat height)
2.  Headrests for front seats.  (Weld form to seat frames, then upholstry.)
3.  Add foldable armrest to right front seat.   (measure carefully.  Not much extra room)
4.  Add enertia reels for front seatbelts.
5.  Make rear seatback a little tall.  It provides a nice upholstered shelf area to hide stuff.
6.  If your old like me, a pressurized relief tube (from T-33) is mandatory.  (simple to install)
7.  Never enough storage.  Add pockets everywhere.  Behind front seats;  below rear seat bottom.  beside front seats;       beside rear sea, etct.
8.  If you plan on flying at FL 250 and above,  I added special pockets in front to hold O2 mask for letdown requirement.
(I use a double bailout bottle package from a salvage ejection seat)
9.  I had the upholstry guy add provision (straps) behind right seat for O2 cylinder just in case I want to drag one along
sometime.  (Being old, I'm partial to O2).
10.  There has been a lot written  about window frames; i.e., how to hide the edges of the upholstry around          the windows.  The easiest and nicest approach that I've seen is to make the  headliner in two one-piece sections that
extend all the way down to the armrests;   right and left. The openings for the window are cut out and then
machine stitched to form a border around the window. Simple and neat.   I have seen a headliner that was velcro'ed in
place without a wrinkle but mine had to be glued because of the material I picked out. (or so I was told).
11.  Most of the L-IV show planes have used the expensive upholstry guys (Bend, Or., etc) but my construction $$$ were
running short, so I found a local guy whose work I liked, told him what I wanted, and was very pleased with the results,        especially since the cost was less than half.

Hope this helps a little.  Regards,  Bill Hogarty

P.S.  I would be happy to take some digital photos but my upholstry is completely removed (except for the headliner) : - (
