Gene,

Not sure where you are in the building and decision process but you might want to consider using a 90deg elbow for mounting your injector throttle body rather than modifying the sump (lots of work).  I completed my 320 about 1 1/2 years ago and have been very happy with the 90deg setup.  You can see a detailed photo of the engine installation at: http://w1.lancair.net/pix/olsen-first-flights/HPIM0111?full=1 and other photos of my plane at: http://www.lancaironline.net/pix/olsen.

Here is some info for the 90deg setup:
  - Use the 90deg elbow from Airflow Performance (has a butterfly built in for alternate air)
  - Can still use the standard 320 exhaust (Type IV, I think?)
  - I'm using the B&C 60A alternator with no modification
  - I have unfiltered ram air into the injector body and selectable filtered air from in front of cylinder #2
  - I typically see around 1" MP increase when selecting ram

I hope this helps you.
