Located below the level of the header tank on the engine side of the
firewall, replaced after 490 hours because of shaft leakage. The original
pump sat on the shelf for a number of years. 440 take offs so probably 440
primed starts, maybe 100 times on at takeoff, 200 times on at landing.
Located at BL40, near the rear spar in the stub wing, these pumps have
operated at outside air temperatures thru about 700 flight hours, each probably
pumping more than 2500 gallons of fuel to the header tank. These
pumps have run the wings "dry" (more than 10 times but less than 20) as
measured by the header tank dropping below 8 gallons.
