The planning for the 1st Eastern Lancair/Glasair Formation Flying clinic is underway.  I am following Rob's suggestion below and am trying to pick a location that will be somewhere in the middle of where everybody participating is located.  The dates will be largely dependent on when the instructors are avaialble.  I will announce this very soon.

So far I have the following pilots who have expressed serious interest in participating:

Bill 'Stuka' Harrelson   Lancair 320 - VA
Scott 'Grayhawk' Krueger Lancair 320 - IL
Bill 'Gumby' Rossman     Lancair 320 - NJ
Skip 'Glue'              Glasair III - NJ
Rob 'Tweety' Logan       Legacy      - OH
Rick 'Grease' Argente    Lancair 360 - NJ
Lorn H. 'Feathers' Olsen Lancair 320 - MI

If I missed anyone, please email me and I will add you to the list.

Once again, I need suggestions on choice locations for our clinic.

Rob Logan's Suggestion List:
1) take everyone's apt indent, and find the center of gravidly airport
2) pick a date
3) everyone arrives by sat noon with their T34 manual...
4) we do two flights in the afternoon
5) at dinner we hash changes to the std
6) in the morning we do two more flights
7) everyone heads home after lunch Sunday

in email we set another date. move the airport

More of Rob's wisdom on the subject:
1) make some local standards based on the T34 manual.
2) do two or three clinics.. have fun!
3) if 4 people from these clinics wanta get FFI cards,
at the next clinic invite Wizz, (greg willson) a FFI check pilot,
I know him personally.. I bet requesting Stu will be easier than Wizz,
but Dayton OH is closer than TX and this is fun anyway.

I've been through several FFI test flights, they aren't
hard at all, its the standards and everyone working
as a team that's key... this takes practice, and several
"clinics" that quickly turn into "were everyone agrees to meet
to fly together"  as the clinic part of learning is
mostly the experience you get flying together as a team.

expect me to attend anything east of the mississippi!
