Dear George and Walter,

As you probably have guessed, there are probably many more IV-P owners /
builders
who religiously read this list in the background for every person
who actively participate, myself being one of those. We have read
with great interest what you have to say on the LOP vs. ROP debate and
follow your excellent advise. Whenever your name appears on the list we sit
up
and listen. I cannot believe there is any IV-P operator on this list who is
not running his engine LOP in cruise unless they are have expectations
of doing a top overhaul every 300 hours with this TSIO-550 engine based
on your postings and work at ADA.
The baffling / cooling issue has intrigued me for some time now as I believe
it is a problem.
If there ever was an offer to share the solution with the rest of us here in the background on the list I am not aware of it.   As my aircraft is based in the USA, but I live in South Africa, I would just

love to hop in the aircraft and come for a Saturday morning "seminar" event,
but for some of us, that is not always that easy to schedule. If the timing is right, I will be at the first one there.
Can I suggest that if you are aiming to put this information of what you
did to fix the customers aircraft into the "public domain", but don't have
the time or inclination to write it up or make a few bucks out of it, that you
allow
one of the attendees to take some pictures and post them on the LML. With
a few pictures we will be 100% capable in most cases of figuring out the changes required to improve our aircraft, at least as a starting point. I appreciate the time and effort you have spent on this subject and thank
you for your generous offer and look forward to the "seminar".

Best Regards,
Allan Saul / N203AF.
