For those installing the VMS, one problem is where and how to install the
fuel and oil pressure transducers. Most builders are using an Adell clamp to secure those transducers. An
improvement is to use a slightly larger Adell clamp to secure a short length
of 1-1/2" PVC, then slipping the entire transducer into the PVC. There is a
few thousandths clearance between the PVC and the transducer, which will
"collar" and electrically insulate it. This mounting will allow the
transducer a freedom of linear movement. This is especially important for
the oil pressure transducer, because of the relative movement between the
engine and the fixed transducer mounting point. The oil pressure PVC collar
can then be clamped or tywraped to the engine mount. Bill Rumburg
