Hi Marshal!  Glad you are ready to test fly!  What airport are you going to
use? I haven't flown the L-4PT yet, but  in regard to the stalls, I believe
that preliminary indications are that the last L-4PT that went down was due to
stalling the L-4PT about two months ago, now.  You do not stall a Lear jet
only wait for the stick shaker.  I would treat the L-4PT like a high
performance Lear jet , but instead of looking for stall , look for the best or
lowest AOA speed while still flying. ( Angle of Attack)  If you want to know
where I got my info, please contact me off-line, but I believe you already
know.  Be careful and good luck!  jim Memmer-L-4PT 85% 408-771-8097cell

I am of the same mind as you Jim about stalling the aircraft, but I would sure like to hear from others who also did NOT test to the point of stall or DID stall and are able to give the particulars.  The Oakland FSDO are looking very closely at the turbine installation and any data which has been observed would help us all when it comes time to getting our turbines certified in the experimental category.  I'm still a few months away from first flight (or should I say the test pilot's first flight, not mine) and would encourage others on this forum who have information to share their experiences and concerns.

Your point is well taken in flight testing to a max AOA while still flying rather than waiting for an eminent or full stall.
