Hi Ian,
Just in case you (and others) have not seen the following. The timing
of this event could not have been worse IMHO. I've flown into & out of
SNF a number of times and believe the best help would come from a second set of
eyes helping look for aircraft not following the standard approach as described
via NOTAMs. Know how to control your aircraft safely without reference to
the panel since you need to be looking outside at all times. Have fun and
stay safe! Earl
I came in on the tail of the discussion of the
approach streams to OSH and which is the most suitable for our
planes.
Presuming the same logic applies to LAL which
stream would a Lancair 360 use? My common sense tells me I should be in
the upper, faster stream as I would have difficulty in following some of the
slower A/C at speeds well below 100knots.
What do my more experienced brethren do?
This is my first time at LAL and I would like to go in at least this
time. Maybe next time I would drive!!!
Help please.
