Guys,
Following much disdain on the list for Nyla Flow Brake lines heres my 2 cents. I pulled mine this past week and replaced them for about $12. They served me well for 6 years, 500 hours, and close to 500 landings. They are in such fine shape I'm gonna loan'm to my son for use in his aquarium.
Proper installation is the key to successful brake line life. My brake lines have minimal abrasion potential and very large bend radii. Of course other solutions exist which allow less attention to detail.
There are many items on my plane that require regular inspection. I intend to change the brake lines again in 5 or 6 years.
Isn't homebuilding great?! Hope to meet many of you at Sun & Fun. I'll be the one parked next to Scott and his 2nd Place plaque.
