That was only ONE of THREE that year. The third was a Bonanza that over shot the runway and tightened it up with a stall spin very close to the ground. So close that it cart wheeled and torn off the engine. Result a little blood but both came out safe. Bonanza was pretty much junk but in destroying the plane it burned off all the energy and didn't hit anything hard. The 2 fatals and this pilot were high timers. If you are having spacing problems on the low speed circuit go to the War Bird high speed. We had a jet that didn't a year or two before and you guessed it, mushed into an Oshkosh street and burned.
