I'm with Scott,
OSH arrival can be the most demanding flying we
ever do.
Don't arrive without plenty of extra fuel, you can
be cut off repeatedly. Lancairs are small and hard to see.
The ground controller 15 miles away will insist you
put gear down. I raise mine again until in the pattern.
There can be 10 or 12 planes on final for the same
runway. Expect the unexpected and avoid unnecessary
distractions.
Once on final, I looked down and noticed that
I was making two shadows.
