I like my Micro encoder for all of the previously stated features. I probably use the True Airspeed function more than any other though. On a long flight, pulling the power back when you have a tailwind and pushing it up in a headwind helps increase efficiency. Comparing TAS to the GPS groundspeed gives you a quick and accurate wind component figure. Got to be the best buy in avionics.
