 Pat,
Your's is about the 6th or 7th iv-p window blow out that I am aware of.
The aiplane damage sounds almost identical as well.  In every instance that
I am aware of it has happened in the flight levels. It makes sense to me
that this is when the cabin is maximally pressurized and the pressure
differential across the window is the greatest.  I had the AD performed on
my iv-p as well, but nothing bothers me more (except for ice) in flying my
iv-p in the flight levels than the idea of having my window blow out.  I
have always questioned whether the "fix" for the window is adequate.  You
have now confirmed my suspicions, since yours is the first iv-p to blow a
window out that had "the fix" to my knowlege.  I hope you will share with
the rest of us what you learn about how to correct this problem  in
replacing the window without the bolt holes.  Congratulations on getting
your bird on the ground safely.
