Its been a long time since I worked on the nose gear doors (1995) but as I remember, it was a pretty straight forward process.
The only problem that I can recall was with the machine shop that cut out the doors from the aluminum sheet stock. I didnt think to tell them that I needed a left and a right panel so they cut 2 right panels for me; which I had to have done over after I ordered new material DUH?????
Also, there is a SB on the doors that has you remove a few of the guide pieces. Better not to install in the first place than have to remove later. I painted the nose wheel well with fire-retardant paint since there was an fire related incident early on. The factory fix is to add the aluminum close-out door which is pretty simple.
