In regard to paint affecting radio reception, I beleive that to be false. I
have my nav. antenna in the wing which is covered with 3 applications(thats
another story) of Silver Grey metallic paint.Brand is PPG ,Imron I think,
and my reception is excellent up to the required 75miles at altitude.I
assume the com would be no different. Fred
