Lėnda: Use of Poly-Flo Tubing In Brake System
Data: Wed, 12 Feb 2003 11:21:05 -0500
Pėr: <lml>
My Legacy kit came with Poly-Flo tubing and fittings for the brake system
and I trust that Lancair has determined that these materials are adequate.
However, a couple of people have told me that I should avoid the use of
the Poly-Flo and use Aeroquip hoses and fittings instead.  I have been
told that on another brand of kit plane there have been several cases
where the Poly-Flo tube has come loose from the fittings resulting in a
brake system failure.

Considering that the Legacy is steered using differential braking and that
most airports don't have 7,500' runways, I am concerned about installing
the Poly-Flo.  I would like to hear from others on the list about their
experiences and/or opinion of the Poly-Flo system.
