I have just put on my wings for the (hopefully) last time and have rigged
the flaps. The down speed adjustment valve works well and I can set the
extend speed easily. Flap retraction is another story. It is too fast,
dangerously fast. I have been reading remarks on this thread in the LML for
years now. I even tried putting another restrictor fitting in the cylinder
but that didn't help.
Has anyone ever installed a second flow control valve in the system? I am
planning to do just that unless there is a down side. I feel the risk of
having the aircraft "sag" on a go around is just to large to ignore.
Any and all thoughts or experiences greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
