"Best location for Whelen strobe power

I'm planning to put mine in the front of
the center section wing root, behind the access panels in the forward
load pads. (These are the small panels with the cylindrical pockets in
them, the ones the manual says can be used to store smoke hoods.) My
friend put his there and it's worked well. They're out of the way but easy
to get at if needed.
As for a gas filter, I'm planning a gascolator
on the engine side of the firewall, down low, with a cooling shroud. The
hydraulic filter might be a good topic to persue at the fly-in next
month.
