Hi

I looked at that as well and after looking at a RV with such a setup I
stopped working on it until I got to where are now. I do remember they used
a handle in the middle of the panel which when turned retracted two pins
that formed part of the hinge. Also there is apparently about 200 lb. of
lift from the canopy, so by undoing its front attachment should send it
skywards VERY quickly.
