Subject: [FlyRotary] Re: Turbo boost
limits in the EC2
Mode 6 went away Rusty. The EC2 now has a turbo
boost retard built in that linearly retards timing between 32 to 60" Hg.
Nominal timing is 13 deg BTDC by the time it reaches 60" MAP. This
is to avoid detonation.

too) Don't we
all.... If only I had Ed's free time :-)
OK, so what was I doing when I adjusted on mode 6 ?
Nothing? 'Cause I'll admit I don't remember much? I have the new chips that
were sent with the EM2... I assume that these have the new
function?

Mode 6 is ignored by the EC2 in the versions compatible with the EM2.
They have the manifold pressure ignition control that advances timing at low
MAP and retards it during boost.
