Mode 6 went away Rusty.  The EC2 now has a turbo boost retard built in that linearly retards timing between 32 to 60" Hg.  Nominal timing is 13 deg BTDC by the time it reaches 60" MAP.   This is to avoid detonation.

    OK, so what was I doing when I adjusted on mode 6 ? Nothing? 'Cause I'll admit I don't remember much? I have the new chips that were sent with the EM2... I assume that these have the new function?

Mode 6 is ignored by the EC2 in the versions compatible with the EM2.  They have the manifold pressure ignition control that advances timing at low MAP and retards it during boost.
