FWIW, I run 2 of them off a single 10 amp fuse.  The leads are on one fuse and the trailing coils on the other fuse.  No broken fuses up to about 5000 rpm.  I took them out of the fuse box and connected them directly to the main power at the firewall in an effort to work out why my mixture drops when I turn off the alternator (no effect).

I think if I had fuses on something as critical as my coils, I would have a blown fuse indicator LED/neon lamp so I would know what was going on.  A popped circuit breaker you can see or feel.

I wired the coils directly to the buss, just like the EC-2.  This seemed like a good idea at the time, but it's always been on my mental to-do list to add some big fuses, like 15A per coil, or whatever the wire will support.

Cheers,
Rusty
