When I had the thermostat in, I was seeing it stabilize the temperature at
about 195 degrees.  Either my thermostat was a little off, or my
temperature
gauge is off.  Maybe both, who knows.

Finding out now that I have no clue what my oil temperatures have been
doing
are a big concern to me right now.  I hope to see when I get the sensor in
the right place that the temperature is in line.  If not, I may have
damaged
the engine, but it seems to be running good, outside of the tuning issues.

Unless the oil was over 240F for extended periods (you probably haven't had
that opportunity yet), you are probably fine.  As best I recall, the damage
is somewhat dependent on how hot and long the rotor stays hot.  The first
causality is generally those hard "rubber" inserts that go in the corner
seals - they actually disappear.  The lack of them generally make starting
harder.  Then I think the apex seal starts to "chatter" against the housing
apparently due to deterioration of the oil film due to heat.

But, unless you are noticing hard to start or a power loss you are probably
OK
